Pride Legacy Fund

PRIDE Legacy Fund Background 

The PRIDE Legacy Fund was established December 2021 by Rogelio Espinoza to provide resources to members who identify or are apart of the queer community with the assistance of the inaugural committee. The fund will support members, the national organization, and alumni organization by providing scholarships, grants, and emergency assistance to undergraduate and graduate NAK members, chapters, and alumni associations for initiatives and program activities that align with the purpose of the fund.

Scholarship Deadline

  • Your application must be submitted by midnight Friday, July 1, 2022.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a full time undergraduate or graduate student at a university or enrolled in a university the following academic term. 
  • Must submit an unofficial transcript with the application.
  • Must submit a resume. 
  • Must answer the prompt and submit an application by the deadline. 
  • It is not a requirement for brothers to be active to apply. Actives and inactive brothers will be considered.
  • Must self identify as a member of the Queer community.

Provide a supplemental personal statement that addresses the following

The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or social stigma for being a part of the queer community. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

Notification & Payment

  • Application opens June 1, 2022  and closes July 1, 2022.  
  • Applicants will be notified on or before July 17, 2022.
  • Payment will be made directly to the student.
